MOTION
Select one of your images that show a fast shutter speed. (picture 5)
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to freeze action?
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
What action did you freeze? (Describe).
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo?
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strenghthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...
For this picture, I used a shutter speed of 1/1000 seconds. My ISO setting was on 200, while the white balance was set on natural sunlight. I took the picture, freezing the action of bouncy balls and jax falling to the ground. I am above the action, about 2 feet. There is texture from the ground, and the balls and jax make for a good positive space while the ground is the negative space.

Alexa was in the middle of a cartwheel.
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo?
I was about 19 feet from her and it was straight on.
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...)
Rule of thirds from the stone blocks, texture from the tree leaves, good color contrast between light and dark.
I used a shutter speed of 1/30 seconds for this picture. My ISO setting was on 200 as well as a white balance of natural light. I took the picture of Alexa in the middle of a cartwheel. I was about 10 feet from her and I was shooting it straight on. There is the rule of thirds from the stone blocks, texture from the tree leaves, good color contrast between light and dark.

PAINTING WITH LIGHT
Describe one of your photos from painting with light. (picture 2)
What shutter speed did you have the camera on?
What light source did you use to create the painting?
How did you achieve the image/effect?
What impact does the photo have? How would the viewer feel looking at your photo?
The shutter speed for this picture was 8.0 seconds. We used multiple different christmas lights and by holding the lights and moving them upside down, we were able to create this. This picture is confusing to the eye because its not too clear what is going on.

FAVORITE PLACE OR THING
What object did you choose to shoot for your photos?
What personal significance does the object have?
Why is it your favorite thing?
Describe the various points of view you photographed.
How did you avoid distracting backgrounds?
Finally, how did you consider composition and depth of field in your work?
I chose to photograph my dog, Lewis. I have 3 other dogs, but he is my favorite because he was a rescue and I was the one to name him. I photographed him from the front both far away and close up, the same with the back of him. Also I have a picture of him from up above and one from the side. I used different angles to avoid the background, which would've been anything in my room on my walls.
